Hoodlums on Thursday dispersed Nigerian youths protesting against police brutality
Carrying guns, cutlasses, the thugs were seen in a video obtained by Featured24 running after some of the #EndSARS protesters who gathered at Alausa, Lagos State.
Nigerians on Twitter have taken to the popular micro-blogging platform to accuse Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo and one Baba Alado of sending his ‘boys’ to disrupt the protest.
The leader of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos chapter, was accused of being contracted by the government to use thugs to disperse the protesting youths.
@BiodunPen wrote; “I knew they will ‘contract’ MC Oluomo and his boys to disrupt the protest in Lagos.
“Sadly, these thugs dont know that the #EndSARS movement is also about them.”
A user, @Babatunday wrote; Let’s take note of the serial number of the bus (240171) that conveyed thugs to disrupt the #AlausaProtest. The owner will shalaye later.”
As at the time of filing this report, it was not immediately clear if there any casualties from the attack.
Featured24 reports that the incident comes barely 24 hours after armed thugs were seen attacking protesters in Abuja.
It was gathered that about five vehicles were also damaged in the fracas which happened at Berger roundabout.
